A great turnout for our Beaver Ecology Evening

Despite the cold weather, more than 50 attendees joined us last night for an engaging and insightful talk on beavers and their remarkable impact on local ecosystems.

The evening was led by Chris Jones, founder of Woodland Valley Farm and the Cornwall Beaver Project, who shared his extensive knowledge and firsthand experiences of working with these incredible animals. His presentation captivated the room, sparking plenty of thoughtful questions and lively discussion.

We’re delighted that so many of you came along and helped make the event such a success. We hope you left with new knowledge, fresh perspectives, and a deeper appreciation for these impressive ecosystem engineers.

In exciting news, Chris has kindly invited us to visit Woodland Valley Farm next year free of charge. Further details will be shared once arrangements are confirmed — so keep an eye out!

As always, we welcome your feedback. Your thoughts help us shape and improve future events, especially as we approach our centenary year in 2026, when we plan to celebrate in style.

Thank you once again for your continued support and enthusiasm.
